THE ROYAL HEART

What kind of heart do you have? There are many kinds of heart, a friendly heart, a broken heart, a single heart and many more. Then there is that Royal heart, a heart that many of us want. It is a heart that lives in the fantasy of prince and princess tails.

Suppose you meet someone that attracts you. What would you do? Would you let it slide thinking that it is just a mere coincidence? Would you make the move to know that person? Would you try to leave everything behind? What if one of the once in a million kind of person, a person you might consider a prince or princess in his or her own way?

Jeremy, a singer hoping to find back the beats of his music after a wrenching pain of losing someone important in his life. Kate, a student trying to perfect her ordinary life. Destiny connects their paths. Not only once. Not only twice but several times. Things get topsy turvy when both end up getting tangled. Would they let destiny takes its place like in every fairy tail or would they sacrifice everything for the satisfaction of their hearts?

RENEWAL OF PRIESTHOOD IN THE THEOLOGY OF BENEDICT XVI

Benedict XVI is one of the great German Theologians even before he filled in the shoes of Peter. Benedict XVI has worked numerously on the different branches of Theology. Among them is his contribution to ecclesiology and ecumenism. Moreover, Benedict XVI has also contributed much on the Theology of Priesthood.

The study will deal mainly on the situation of Priesthood decades after Second Vatican Council and the Theology of Priesthood of Benedict XVI and the importance of Renewal of Ministerial Priesthood. The first part will be about the presentation of the different situations, problems that highlighted the need for renewal. The analysis of the situations will be mainly guided by Benedict XVI’s analysis of the situation following Second Vatican Council.

The Second Part will be on the discussion of the Theology of Priesthood of Benedict XVI. The factors that will be discussed on the study of his Theology would be his understanding of Priesthood.

The third part is about the importance of Renewal of Ministerial Priesthood and how it is to be achieved according to Benedict XVI. A priest, as emphasized by Benedict XVI, needs to renew himself especially today wherein the world which he lives in is being affected by the different situations.

A renewed priest! That is the image, which I had in mind of a priest, believing in God and responding in love. Such kind of priest is confident in facing the challenges presented to him as pastor, the situation of the world, the demands of the laity. This is possible through renewal.

13th CENTURY DOMINICAN BLESSING

May God the Father bless us.
May God the Son heal us.
May God the Holy Spirit enlighten us,
and give us
eyes to see with,
ears to hear with,
hands to do the work of God with,
feet to walk with,
a mouth to preach the word of salvation with,
and the angel of peace to watch over us and lead us at last,
by our Lord's gift, to the Kingdom.

Amen.

PRAYER TO ST. JOSEMARIA ESCRIVA

O God,
through the mediation of Mary our Mother,
you granted your priest St. Josemaria countless graces,
choosing him as a most faithful instrument to found Opus Dei,
a way of sanctification in daily work
and in the fulfillment of the Christian’s ordinary duties.
Grant that I too may learn to turn all the circumstances
and events of my life into occasions of loving you
and serving the Church, the Pope and all souls with joy and simplicity,
lighting up the pathways of this earth with faith and love.
Deign to grant me through the intercession of Saint Josemaria,
the favor of… (make your request). Amen.
Our Father…
Hail Mary…

Glory be…

PRAYER OF ST. AUGUSTINE

Lord Jesus, let me know myself and know you,
And desire nothing, save only you.
Let me hate myself and love you.
Let me do everything for the sake of you.
Let me humble myself and exalt you.
Let me think of nothing except you.
Let me die to myself and live in you.
Let me accept whatever happens as from you.
Let me banish self and follow you,
And ever desire to follow you.
Let me fly from myself and take refuge in you,
That I may deserve to be defended by you.
Let me fear for myself, let me fear you,
And let me be among those who are chosen by you.
Let me distrust myself and put my trust in you.
Let me be willing to obey for the sake of you.
Let me cling to nothing, save only to you,
And let me be poor because of you.
Look upon me, that I may love you.
Call me, that I may see you,
And for ever enjoy you.
Amen.
